Information on Travel & Accomodation on Salt Spring Island Salt Spring Island is the largest of the Southern Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia between mainland British Columbia, Canada and Vancouver Island. It is best known for its beautiful scenery, hiking, beaches, kayaking, Farmer's markets, organic farms, tastey local food, B & B's, artists, health & wellness and laid-back lifestyle. People come to Salt Spring to relax, unwind and disconnect from the busy city life. This breath taking island is the perfect place to learn Reiki and ThetaHealing® and to reconnect with yourself!
Travel to Salt Spring Island is via BC Ferries or sea plane. There are three ferry terminals on Salt Spring. If coming from the Vancouver mainland area, Tsawwassen to Long Harbour (direct though you make three other stops along the way: Galiano, Mayne and Pender); if coming from Victoria area, Swartz Bay to Fulford Harbour or if coming from Duncan/Nanaimo area, Crofton to Vesuvius. Please note that if you are coming from Vancouver you can also take the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay and then transfer to the ferry from Swartz Bay to Fulford Harbour. Be sure to ask for a through fare ticket to Fulford when purchasing your ticket in Tsawwassen. If you are driving they will give you a tag to hang from your rear view mirror that says "TF". This generally gets you loaded onto the ferry near the front as you will then drive off the ferry, taking the first exit, and then looping back to ferry terminal to make your connection to Fulford Harbour.
Please note: During the Spring and Summer months it is recommended to make a reservation with BC Ferries to ensure you make the ferry. It is also recommended to book accommodation well in advance as these months are high tourist season here on the island.
Please also note that I have two beautiful Reiki dogs and two Reiki cats. They are all gentle souls, but if you do not like dogs or cats, or have allergies, please know that they will be around.
